British Telecom had purchased the soon to be industry standard Tymnet “credit card swipe” technology. We had already created an identity and marketing campaign for its previous owner; our challenge now was to do it again, but with a twist: BT wanted us to create a new marketing campaign and product identity, including a name-change, for the technology and meld it with their new logo and British identity. To do so, we worked with BT’s stateside and overseas marketing departments to fine-tune the campaign with a decidedly U.S. spin. It was a smash.
